I can take 3 months break from bbkl now before draft.. i wonder what's my draft spot so i can study the day before the draft.

I'll start updating the draft order this week now that we have the first round complete. Spots 17-28 are the teams eliminated from the first two rounds of the playoffs in order of fewest to highest points. The teams that lose in the conference finals get picks 29 and 30 and the finalists are 31 and 32.

I'm certainly interested in how second round plays out with my second 1st round being Colorado. Colorado vs. Anaheim will be a good matchup.

Now that I see how this rule is be enforced...I get how that was written. The goalie with a shutout with the fewer starts has their shutout thrown out.

The goalie starts thing is tricky when you have goalies from two different teams...you're at risk of this happening.

Let this be a lesson for everybody. I never benched a G ever the whole time in this league. Never even (not blaming anybody, I know its my fault) knew this was a rule until after roster lock last week. At the time I was like, I got nothing to worry about...Driedger not starting more than 1..lol

Mik lost to Hong the same way in 2017. He was up 9-7, but 6 GP and lost his goalie wins making it 8-8 and Hong won the tiebreaker.

Awesome first round gents, seems like that goalie rule sinks someone every 2-3 years. I was also once upon a time about to go over 4 goalie starts but I believe heald steady at 4 against LAK, or maybe I went over it and lost because of too many goalie starts

Having said that, everyone do your best to beat him next year in the first round as I have the pick in '23!

well today's less rule is way less 'dumb' than before, it doesn't penalize teams that don't dress an NHL tandem nearly as badly as it was before

I've been trying think of a good comp for him...he just a unique combination of size and skill and he's got that brilliant shot. At risk of angering my friends to the north...is he the closest thing to Mario in the modern game? Skillful and large in size but doesn't play a big man game.

Modano would probably be my physical comp for another American player but I even think that's slight to Matthews because Modano only scored 50 once. I think Matthews in a full season is easily a 50-goal scorer for the foreseeable future.

Such a more complete player than stamkos imo. Not the best comp. i also think saying Modano is a bit of an insult to Matthews hehe.

I didn’t get to see him play but I’ve seen modern day mike bossy thrown around but that’s only really taking his goal scoring prowess into consideration. He’s such a complete player these days.

Maybe he’s just one of those players that breaks the mold. I can’t think of a solid comp tbh.

I was just going to come in and mention the broken leg part. Was so long ago it’s tough to remember how he played way back then. I don’t ever remember him being such a dominant two way player though in the mold that matthews is currently.
