Glad he only went for 6 years. After seeing what heiskanen received, if he went for 8 it's probably 10+. I'm okay with this cap, especially after what heiskanen and Seth Jones received, and what Hamilton will likely receive.

Plus he's waiver exempt for another year, so I have time to work any cap kinks out.

Kevin Adams is killing it from these trades. With the expected haul for eichel. Really quick and very good roster turnover. Gonna be real bad this year though… maybe another first overall next year to add the cherry on top??

Ya they should be better. Overpaid for ristolainen but should be pretty dynamic front to back… wonder how Hart responds.

Ya they overpaid a bit, but would rather a team over pay a bit if it improves them, than be overly cautious and not improve. I think Hart bounces back

Yeah, seems like they paid him based on the 10 games he played for Florida + 1 playoff round. If he were being paid on his play from the previous couple seasons, what does he get??? 2.5M?

That being said, if he performs even close to how he did in the 10 games + 1 playoff series, this deal will be a steal, given he had 20 points in 15 games during that span. I'd say maybe 3.5M would have been fair, but Florida gets 3 UFA years here I believe.

On the bright side, this deal probably puts thom in a bit of a bind
