i'm a big fan of yips. colborne is buried in BOS. and i couldve used some help this year. but that does not mean i don't see where you're coming from.bills09 wroteCOLONYip=border line 4th liner on a healthy avalanche squad.
Re: PIT/NYI Joe Colborne to NYI
Talk about buried
Just tell me where you see him fitting
Galiardi Stastny Stewart
Flash Duchene Hejduk
Winnik O'Reilly Jones
Yip/Dupuis/Porter/McCloed/Mauldin
and that doesnt even include if Mueller ever comes back.

I think what Billy is trying to say is that you lost this deal.SuperMario wroteCOLONexplainbills09 wroteCOLONouch shiv.

Re: PIT/NYI Joe Colborne to NYI
your analysis makes complete sense. everything you said i did consider before making the deal. if i saw this trade made by two other parties id side with the team receiving colborne as well. but even though value wise i lost it was the right deal for my team at this time. i could be wrong though.bills09 wroteCOLONTalk about buried

Colborne is no less buried than Yip, who is atleast in the NHL, and producing.
Re: PIT/NYI Joe Colborne to NYI
With the departure of Ryder, wheeler, etc. Boston may lok to bring up a few more guys and Colborne should be at the top of the list along with Caron. I want a Caron, Seguin, Colborne line next season.

i just dont think colorado is done making moves. yip will get 12-15 minutes of ice time regardless of what happens imo. and for the next few weeks with all these injuries he will get a lot more.

I'll echo this take...Colborne appears to be a horse in the making. Yeah, Shiv got a solid return but Tony gets the best piece in the deal and continues to add to his growing group of young players. Shiv does have a rumplestiltskin-like way of turning a pile of straw into gold so you can't say he screwed up until you see what he does next. I'm sure he knows what he's doing.

I fail to see how this is a bad trade for Shiv?
