For a trade of this size there's not a lot of huge names that stand out. David is probably getting the best "name-brand players" in Gibson and Cirelli. Gibson was hurt and didn't have a good year and Cirelli's productive dropped off but he's still just 23. Those are good pieces for an expansion team to build around. Gibson will get right eventually and the Ducks are in a rebuild.
Matt is essentially adding veteran depth and what i assume is now a very inexpensive goaltending tandem in Campbell and Lankinen. It gives him cap flexibility and I don't think any team here has navigated the cap better than him...he's got the championships to prove it. It also does prove you don't have to have flashy names in goal to win in this league. He practically won in spite of Gibson's struggles this year.
