I think he's got upside, but it isn't just Prosvetov for Backstrom or Kyrou. There's also a 2nd and a 4th and Foegele. I still get a decent fantasy NHLer and pieces to build my franchise up.
I'd rather Kyrou or Backstrom over that entire package every day of the week

Then don’t talk about it be about it bitches. I also had plenty of offers to move my players in the works

Couple interesting picks but I think you need to see the complete roster before any real judgment can be made. People hated VGK draft IRL and it has turned out pretty well

I think that's what makes it fun when you get to see people react to picks when they come out one at a time.

People also for the most part thought BBKL Vegas did well with this draft:

Arvidsson -- Jarnkrok -- Komarov
T. Wilson -- MacKenzie -- Brown
Watson -- Stajan -- Sceviour
Lewis -- Soderberg -- Ward
Sheahan, Connolly

Holden -- Orlov
McQuaid -- Schenn
Hjalmarsson -- Edler
Sbisa -- Myers
Dillon -- Gudbranson

Halak
Bernier

Minors:
C. Carrick
T. Carrick
Ouellet
Stolarz

Went veteran and periph heavy and at the time that seemed smart and thought he could trade excess assets for futures and it didn't turn out that well. Got a lot of 3rds and 4ths from GMs protecting guys that they probably didn't need to protect. Funny how the value of so many of these players has tanked in four years.

I also think that the lowering of the GP threshold has tanked a lot of these types of players value. You don't even need to have anything resembling an NHL team to make gp now.

Vegas had a solid starting team but they were thin down the middle. Then again, I don't recall who was available. I think Tim addressed the lack of centers in the trade market.

I think the main objective doing this expansion draft...it's setting you up for future and giving yourself some pieces that other teams might want. The thing I said to David...don't draft guys just to trade them...draft guys that you'd be happy to hang onto if you couldn't trade them.

Wasn't hampus lindholm available for philli? Like he is a young top pairing dman. He must have more trade value than dube.

Haven't looked too into it tho. I may be out to lunch.

Lindholm is a bit overrated...or at least his value has tapered off a bit from previous years. Durability is a little bit of a question with him. Dube is a solid pick.

Lindholm falls under the better in real life than fantasy asset category.

Definitely, good dman, but not for 5.2M in BBKL

After I make a selection, I'm sending out the trade request on FT to those teams so whenever you're able to accept those, it would be much appreciated.

I like Appleton as a 4th liner at his cap.

Figured there was a good chance I'd lose Thomas, I just couldn't justify protecting him given how unimpressive he's been in this format so far. Still super young though so I'm sure he'll break out and make me look dumb

Surprised CHI didn’t pay to protect Reilly. After him no one had much value and protection prices seemed cheap.

As a Ducks fan I definitely would’ve taken Appleton over Steel, and grabbed Terry. On the flip side Seattle is on its way to having a better looking roster than mine lmao

I was going to have to expose him or someone like Goodrow, tough to justify given the production difference between them, even with the age, and his ELC is up so not going to be cheap much longer.
