Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
As far as the draft goes, if the NHL is (potentially) pushing back their 2021 draft, why can't we? We'll still have the expansion draft this summer to look forward to.
It could make next offseason a lot more interesting. No need to make any decisions now when there's still a lot of unknowns out there.

It’s still gotta be based on this years standings tho I’m assuming lolShoalzie wroteCOLONAs far as the draft goes, if the NHL is (potentially) pushing back their 2021 draft, why can't we? We'll still have the expansion draft this summer to look forward to.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Right. What happens this year still determines the order for the 2021 draft...whenever it happens. If they delay the draft...do they still do the lottery this year or do they delay that as well?
This is me fantasy booking the 2021 Draft...why not do it either around the 2022 All-Star Game weekend (next February?) or maybe do it after the next World Junior tournament?
It seems extreme to push it back all the way to next summer and do it right before the 2022 draft but I guess we'll find out what they have in mind. Everything is being dictated by the complications stemming from the pandemic.

Sounds like the NHL will be changing the odds in the draft lottery to more heavily favour the bottom teams.
And that the preference for the 2021 draft is to move it to the summer of 2022, and have 2 separate drafts that summer, one for 2021 eligibles, and one for 2022 eligibles.

Double drafts in 2022 would be kinda fun...that idea is growing on me. We'll still have the expansion draft this summer to look forward to.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Apparently Ottawa trades Cedric Paquette and galchenyuk to Carolina for Ryan Dzingel
