Re: NSH - PIT
Don't trust my drafting. Very high on Jenik - was best player in the OHL 2 years ago before he blew his knee. And duggan has lots of upside... who knows.
Haha and everyone doubts my team each year... nothing new. Losing Toews definitely is a blow though.

I mean I don’t think you finish bottom 10 or anything but there’s a good chance your pick could land around 15 imo. I’m hoping at leastHandsome&FairMike wroteCOLONDon't trust my drafting. Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONAbsolutely true, but people need to know Mik is in a corner too, he gets helped out of it every offseason. Good on him for drafting well and getting people to make these trades though.Matthew wroteCOLONOttawa 1st people expected to be top 7-8 pick, Pittsburgh 1st people expected to be late 1st, and those are some pretty good prospects. Plus he gets prospects that could be in nhl before he ever picks with that pick so it moves the timeline way up.
Pretty much what I was just telling Duncan before this trade went down. Said Mik is loaded, but manages to find GMs to bail him out like how he ended up with Karlsson on his team. Hats off to Mik though he is a really good GM (in the regular season )Chuck Norris wroteCOLONWhat in the actual fuck is this???? People have to stop trading Mik their 1sts for his cast offs. Unbelievable...
He's having issues every offseason and someone ALWAYS bails him out. Enough already....
I like Dugan and Jenik quite a bit too, remember Hathaway went for a 1st and I just paid a 1st for Barrie who doesn't put up defensive stats. I look at my minors and get pretty jealous when I look at Mik's team, but then I remember he never cashes his assets in to overpay and actually field a dominant team.
Re: NSH - PIT
mikes a doctor
he doesnt have time to put in in depth research to make drafting process actually fruitful
this move makes sense for him

Re: NSH - PIT
A doctor should be better at research than the average Joe...I would hope.

Doesn't mean they have the time to do so. I'm hoping that my Doctor spends more time researching about doctor stuff than prospects and 7th round pick deep sleepers.Matthew wroteCOLONA doctor should be better at research than the average Joe...I would hope.

Re: NSH - PIT
You guys are just making me gush cause you want in on some of my great deals. Can’t remember the last one I came close to winning.

are you talking to me?KapG wroteCOLONLeave some firsts for the rest of us
Because before this deal I only had one 1st Rounder in 2022, my own pick

Re: NSH - PIT
if being in the corner means having to cut some prospects that have a remote chance to have long term success but most of bbkl never heard of, ok.Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONAbsolutely true, but people need to know Mik is in a corner too, he gets helped out of it every offseason.
I have no idea what made you and others think I'd need to waive guys like Dugan or Jenìk if all GMs for some reasons stayed away from negotiating deals.Matthew wroteCOLONI trade to help myself not to hurt others. If Mik needs to waive those guys they go to the bottom teams not me or u.
But I guess that helps understanding a little better some of the offers I got.
Re: NSH - PIT
how Jenìk and Dugan get dismissed like that, I have no idea.Loki wroteCOLON a lucky dip bundle of prospects
I mean, OHL and NCAA are in North America
Re: NSH - PIT
Lol I like how Mik calls them "some prospects that have a remote chance to have long term success" and then gets offended that I called them a lucky dip bundle

Mik was talking about different players. Not these specific guys. Ur confused.Loki wroteCOLONLol I like how Mik calls them "some prospects that have a remote chance to have long term success" and then gets offended that I called them a lucky dip bundle
