2020 Waiver Draft Discussion
Reminder, waiver draft starts Monday morning.
http://bbkl.ca/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=16164
If Lehtonen is the #1 pick according to Mark, curious to see what follows. With no AHL until February and smaller camp rosters, it might be a little a while until some of the names taken in this draft actually hit the ice.

Re: 2020 Waiver Draft Discussion
Plenty of interesting names available, but I like Mikko to make an immediate impact and play a good amount of games. Next best might be Pius in terms of gp or even the Sharks goalie. Who knows. Not a deep waiver draft, but some good picks available in the top 10 for sure. Two Leafs will certainly go top 10.

Re: 2020 Waiver Draft Discussion
Not to burst everyone's bubble but I own Pius Suter. One of the rare times I've been rewarded for hanging onto an undrafted player. Got him in the 4th round in 2015 and never dropped him.

I'm very intrigued since the Hawks traded away Saad and now the injuries up front to Nylander and Dach and the absence of Toews...Suter will have a good chance to be showcased. I figured I'd keep him as an extra forward but with the way things are going, I'll probably put him in my opening day lineup.
I've got the 8th pick...I'm just looking to add a decent prospect. Between Suter, Brinson Paschinuk and Nick Wolff signing...the waiver draft is a bonus for me.

I thought I had seen him as a free agent, guess I did not look very well. Well, my list just got even smaller. Glad I have the 1st overall.

Re: 2020 Waiver Draft Discussion
I question for him to crack the top 6. At best i see him as the #6 in TOR.Da_Hawks wroteCOLONPlenty of interesting names available, but I like Mikko to make an immediate impact and play a good amount of games. Reilly
Muzzin
Brodie
Bogo
Sandin
Dermott/Holl/Lehtonen
Not alot of room in that group to crack top 6...
Re: 2020 Waiver Draft Discussion
If bogo is playing top 4 in Toronto that’s a problem. They also have no reason to play sandin unless he forces their hand in training camp and wins a spot. So yah...good chance he gets in that top 6
Re: 2020 Waiver Draft Discussion
I don't think they will play Bogo in every game this year given the condensed schedule and they probably wan't him as fresh as possible for the playoffs. Holl has had one good year, Dermott hasn't proven anything yet and Sandin/Lilly are still green. Mikko has a very good chance at providing many productive games this year.

Re: 2020 Waiver Draft Discussion
If he doesn't crack the top 6 right away, at worst Lehtonen will travel with the team. I'll be interested to see how the teams go about using their taxi squads.

Don’t think it’s that bad. Probably second best in their division behind the habs... and that’s debatable.

Re: 2020 Waiver Draft Discussion
Sandin almost forced their hand last year. I believe hes ready to make your blueline. Im not convinced Lehtonen is any better than Bogo but well see what happens at camp.

When was the last time the Leafs HAD a solid blueline?CasperX22 wroteCOLONWoof. That's a sad looking blue line
