The buyout cost to them is miniscule and you can tell something is brewing with them if they are buying out contracts and cutting salary. They must be interested in a big ticket item.

Domi gets a 2-year deal with the Jackets and selfishly, I'm happy that Stephenson got a nice deal with the Knights. He's been a versatile player for them throughout their lineup after they picked him up. I figured he'd stick around but wasn't expecting a 4-year deal.

The buy out deadline is Thursday...I keep seeing Wennberg being a candidate to be bought out in Columbus. I think he can use a change of scenery. Getting him away from Torts will be good for him.

Sounds like it's going to happen today...for the best I suppose. Teams are always in the market for 2nd or 3rd centers so hopefully he can go somewhere that he be more of an offensive presence. Dare I say, he could have a Burakovsky-like resurgence in a new city? Just wishful thinking...

And it sounds like Cory Schneider is being bought out by the Devils...he was quite pricey to remain a #2 goalie but he showed flashes at the end of the season that could be a competent backup for someone.
