It would just be my luck that he's their 13th forward in Vegas although he'd be a useful 4th liner. I have to believe McPhee was familiar with him from his Washington days.
13th forward nothing. Goal in his first game!

Did Jim Montgomery just become the first victim of the (new) NHL conduct policy?

Apparently the decision was made before they discussed the new policy

Yeah, I saw that too.

How often do we see a firing over a non-hockey reason? It was more of an interaction with an employee of the organization. The team seemed to be playing fairly well.

how do you know? I don't think 100% recovery is ruled out?

It has a high rate of being cured. It really all depends on in what stage they caught it. It's rare and even more rare in adults.

it's not that simple and it's a lotta moving parts.... but first off let's say when it comes to sarcomas, it's a matter of survival first. no matter how severe/what stage its in.

its pretty much gotta be like the earliest stage possible and had not spread to any more than like 2 percent of your body and if you can contain it there, ressect the cancer in its benign form + not require any bone replacement with a prosthesis (I think it's safe to say if u have a prosthetic part in any part of your leg, u can't play pro level hockey. but correct me if wrong). a lotta cases now there are cement like structure that fills the ressected area of the bone and mimic its ridgity too so that's a good option.

it's a chronic thing and remission long term is the best possible outlook for most sarcomas. either way hes gonna need treatment stage to be confirmed and recovery in order to live a normal life with good mobility let alone professional hockey?.. I wudnt bet on the latter.

Well considering Chuck Fletcher already confirmed as much I'd say so. Hope to see him back next season.

I mean everything is speculation at this point considering how little information we have, but yes above all else survival is #1.
