Tankers need GP, not cap hits. We've got all the shit players already lolMatthew wroteCOLONFree cap hit of 5.25m for tankers to tank extra hardShoalzie wroteCOLONThe following players are going on waivers October 23 at noon:

Some tankers would like to move their talented over 26/27 yo players for prospects/picks, so having extra cap to allow them the false floor when they find a good trade during the season can be quite helpful. Hell, I carried 2 big caps last season when I all ready had a talented team just in case. Also, when all your prospects are playing on rookie contracts it can be helpful.Da_Hawks wroteCOLONTankers need GP, not cap hits. Re: [2019-20] Waiver Wire (No players on waivers)
What am I missing here? He's already cleared waivers and in the minors.
Re: [2019-20] Waiver Wire (No players on waivers)
He's trying to dump a contract without paying someone to take it.
Re: [2019-20] Waiver Wire (No players on waivers)
how can one waive the same guy twice?
Re: [2019-20] Waiver Wire (No players on waivers)
It's essentially offering a piece that can be useful to people for free, because I don't want him. If you guys want, I can put him back on ir for this week, and then re-waive him...koomzzz wroteCOLONhow can one waive the same guy twice?

Re: [2019-20] Waiver Wire (David Clarkson until 10/28)
I dont think someone can be waived twice like this regardless of your intentions
Re: [2019-20] Waiver Wire (David Clarkson until 10/28)
Have to agree. He just cleared what 3 days ago?Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONI dont think someone can be waived twice like this regardless of your intentions
Re: [2019-20] Waiver Wire (David Clarkson until 10/28)
Who cares? If he cleared once, he'll clear again.
Re: [2019-20] Waiver Wire (David Clarkson until 10/28)
Nope. He cleared waivers, per nhl rules doesn't need to clear again unless...
A player does not need to pass through waivers if the player has not been on the NHL active roster for a cumulative 30 days since last clearing waivers, and has not played in 10 or more NHL games. CBA Reference 13.2(b)

CAR waives D Casey Nelson for week 5
Re: [2019-20] Waiver Wire (David Clarkson until 10/28)
This is obviously not what we use as it would become quite complicated in our format. We use if you pass through, then get called up, you need to clear to be sent back down.dave1959 wroteCOLONNope. He cleared waivers, per nhl rules doesn't need to clear again unless...

In the NHL a player can pass through waivers and stay on the active roster. I didn't think it was an issue here to waive a player twice just to see if someone who missed the first waive wanted the free cap.
It's not really an issue for me so if I can't re-waive him until I call him up for a week or whatever, no big deal. I can just keep him in my minors until a rebuilder would like free cap and then give him to the gm for free, or keep him til next summer.
