2018 BBKL Entry Draft

Please point out in the dedicated thread any due update I might have missed or any mistake.

Reminder for the used criteria:
- FOR threshold set at 0.45 (> .45 ==> C)
- past season FOR determines position for all players above 20gp
- past season FOR also determines position for bbkl-rookies above 10gp


REMINDER: dual positions are not allowed in this league. If you have any player on your roster sporting dual position please point those out in the linked-above thread and I'll address that.

IMPORTANT:
pay attention to your lineup for the first Week and make sure it will be legal on Fantrax by roster lock!

"CC has decided that because of San Jose Sharks GM foofnik waiver claim of Andrej Sustr that put him over 50 contracts, he will be fined his 5th and 6th picks in the upcoming 2019 entry draft (the same penalty that was issued to Columbus GM Dave back in October of 2017).

Sustr will remain the property of the Chicago Blackhawks and will go to the minors, as no other team made a claim for him.

Also, going forward, CC has decided that when a GM puts a claim on a player on waivers, he MUST also show his total number of contracts in the post for the waived player. If he does not do this, the waiver claim will be null and void.

Please report before next roster lock any mistakes or omissions, including possibly remaining duals.

Also, GMs have time till next roster lock to ask for reassessment of their players should their FOR move above/below the 0.45 threshold along the remaining games of this week.

Toronto has been using an illegal lineup since week 16 (Jan 14-20)

Justin Braun should have been removed from IR (he was playing again Jan 12)

The CC has discussed and we have decided that there is no other alternative other than to waive Braun retroactive to Week 16

Also, Toronto is fined a 3rd round pick in 2019 entry draft.

Philadelphia Flyers have been fined per the following rule infraction, as they had only 23 starts this season:

4-5 : Each team is required to have no more than 70 and no less than 35 STARTS by their goaltender-BBKL Regular Season (beginning 2017/18).

4-5-1 : Penalty for not meeting or going over ruling will be decided on a case to case basis by Admins and CC

the penalty decided upon is:
2019 2nd round pick
2019 5th round pick

It is now official.

Shep has been voted in as Lee's replacement for Philadelphia.

He will NOT be penalized the 2 picks for Lee missing goalie games played.

Cap Ceiling: $81,500,000
Cap Floor: $60,200,000
Total Players: 90
NHL Contracts: 50

2019 BBKL Waiver Draft begins:

Wednesday September 18th at 10am EDST

Sunday, September 29 at 3:00 p.m. (Eastern)

*GMs are only required to post a link to their Google sheet. The submission thread will be posted after the completion of the waiver draft.


Waivers will begin:

Monday, September 30 at noon (Eastern)

**NOTE**
Players under NHL contract can be dropped up until roster submission.

When the free agent claim period begins the day after the waiver draft, no teams with 50 contracts or more can claim a player. Teams must be at 49 or fewer contracts to claim a free agent.

Mike Morris has officially stepped down as general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs as he made his intentions known earlier this week. His long-term future with the league is unknown at this time.

We would like to find a replacement GM as soon as possible with the waiver draft, roster submission and the start of the NHL season fast approaching.

Mike is one of our most successful GMs in the league's history as well as being a founding member of the BBKL. He won the BBKL championship in 2014-15. He won the Eastern Conference championship 3 consecutive seasons from 2013-14 to 2015-16. He's also a 3-time winner of the best regular season record.

We'd like to wish Mike all the best and we hope to see him around in the future.

Notes
- Be sure to have all your players listed on your roster submission due at the beginning of season (First Roster Lock)(both on Fantrax and your googledoc).
Those missing and not eligible anymore for future BBKL Entry Drafts will be considered FA and eligible for the Waiver draft as a result.
- After the Waiver draft, the unowned NHL-signed players will become available as free agents; however, after rosters submission, those still eligible for the 2019 Entry draft will join the pool of players reserved for it.

Effective Immediately; LtCompton has been hired as GM of the Arizona Coyotes. Chuck Norris is to be his Senior Adviser effective immediately. As such LtCompton will require Chuck Norris's sign off on any deals until November 16th, 2019 @ noon EST. Chuck Norris to be an impartial adviser (having no trade talks) until November 23rd, 2019. LtCompton has a trade freeze until the 30th of October, 2019.
