Colorado lacked any depth beyond their top line, so Kadri is a huge upgrade there, while they have a bunch of cheap incoming high end pieces on the back end that make Barrie more expendable. I think everyone assumed he was getting moved even before they drafted byram, just like there was that assumption with varlamov.

Makar/byram/timmons/girard. A lot of offense on that backend.

Back issues caused Stars center Martin Hanzal to miss all but seven games last season. Those may be the last games he winds up playing in Dallas as Mike Heika notes on the Stars’ team website that Hanzal, who is now in the final year of his contract, is unlikely to play at all in 2019-20 and that he’ll spend the entire year on injured reserve.

He must have been promised minimum 5-6 mil next offseason (when they have more room), which is fine but how is NHLPA allowing this? I don't get it, this is mind numbingly dumb

Great 1 year deal, probably a monster deal if he "proves it" and scores 60+. Next year could be expensive.
But yeah, nhlpa should be questioning it. He could have probably gotten 6 years x 4.5m+...or at least 1 year. X 4m
