So far, just four 7-year deals handed out today. Tanev getting 6 years was kinda crazy but I like the player. Zuccarello and Myers got fair-ish deals...5 years each.

Most intriguing deal of the day was Simmonds taking a single year with the Devils. Kind of a prove-it deal after his '18-19 campaign was such a bust.

I'd understand arguing Marner is better (I think even that could be debatable), but "much better" doesn't seem to match with what I've seen (of Aho, in particular)

I personally believe 13.7 is enough and if not you run a 21 man roster which gets you a little bit more.
