Nice move Scott, I'm a big fan of this trade. Jaybo is rounding into form, and generally speaking I feel he is one of the best two way defencemen in hockey, and the very best defensive d-man.

Yeah, it was great that an opportunity to go after a quality player presented itself and he's a fairly young player at that. Considering the Brewer-for-Campbell move was scoffed at...flipping Brewer into Bouwmeester hopefully improves my fortunes. I really like Alzner...tough to let him go but I really need to make a bold move and grab an established when he was there for the taking.

kind of like it but Alzner and Pickard is what Detroit should be looking for and not trading it. I can't say Bouwmeester was wrong for you since I bet you need the Cap and you could allways sell him to a team that need Cap and want some one good at the same time. But that deal wasn't right for you since I believe you gave up to young stud.

I grade this deal a C for Detroit and a B+ for Toronto.
