How Playoffs Work Under the New NHL Divisions

-Top 3 teams in each division make the playoffs.
-Wild card teams are seeded seventh and eighth in each Conference (allowing for a maximum of 5 teams from one division per conference in the playoffs).
-Division winners are seeded first and second in each Conference and meet the wild card teams in the opening round of the playoffs. (1-versus-8 and 2-versus-7).
-Teams finishing second and third in each Division play the first round of the playoffs within the Division regardless of how teams are seeded 3-6.
-Second round is 2 winning teams from each division playing off (if 1 of the Wild Card team wins round 1 and is the 3rd team from same division, they would play against winning team from the other division)
-Round 3 is 2 winning teams from East and 2 from West
-Final round for Stanley Cup is East winner vs West winner.

b/c it's 0/1 over didn't step on the ice? That's default win, no?

why are C1 & M1 lower than P1 & A1 in the Conference standings despite having totaled more points?

not sure how you can get a standing point for not participating in a contest - this would be a microcosm of that, no?

they aren't really lower, it's just the way I have the spreadsheet set. saves having to manually change numbers each week.

(which is why they aren't listed as 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)

but as far as shutouts go, your goalies didn't do any better than his goalies did while sitting on the bench..

I thought this is what we did in the past as well. No goalie GP means 4 lost stats. Maybe I misremember
