Re: 2018 Waiver Draft Discussion
I think based on the amount of first day claims, we could probably stretch the 2nd round to a full one.
Re: 2018 Waiver Draft Discussion
I think the waiver draft is fine as is. Could even shorten it to 2 rounds for lottery teams only. Since I assume the object of the waiver draft is to get players in the hands of the teams that actually need them.
Re: 2018 Waiver Draft Discussion
2 full rounds is probably sufficient
Re: 2018 Waiver Draft Discussion
A bunch of these guys will probably be waived or dropped in a years time anyways.
Re: 2018 Waiver Draft Discussion
I think it is good the way it is. The reason the 2nd round was added just for lotto teams was to try and make the league more level. No need to change it.

Re: 2018 Waiver Draft Discussion
If u nubs studied hard enough for waiver draft, im sure some of u may land an impactful piece like i did with zach aston-reese last yr =))

Re: 2018 Waiver Draft Discussion
Good to know! Even if they dont meet the waiver rules? For example if a guy like Kovalchuk was a FA and taken in Waiver draft, he would be exempt?

The rule takes place only if they've never played an NHL game beforeCAM wroteCOLONGood to know! Even if they dont meet the waiver rules? For example if a guy like Kovalchuk was a FA and taken in Waiver draft, he would be exempt?
