Speaking of 2018 draftees...Quinn Hughes is staying at Michigan for another year. The Canucks weren't going to guarantee him a spot in the NHL. He's the top returning scorer from last year since Calderone and Marody turned pro. The top 4 scoring forwards are all gone from last year. I don't know what to think of this upcoming year for Michigan. Hughes should shine with another year of experience...I'd expect him to compete for the Hobey Baker this year.

Hughes is a great prospect and should be a beauty D man for the Nucks going forward, but weighing only 170 lbs the kid needs to bulk up a tad, with him going back to collage he should shine. The canucks are getting themselves a great good of kids to build around.

Why wouldn't it make sense for buffalo? Seems they could use a 30 goal scorer. Sure they are rebuilding, but they all ready have the core pieces in eichel and dahlin.
