the more i think about this trade the more i like it for both sides. one of the best strategic trades in bbkl history (not an exaggeration imo).

This isn't a very complicated trade, and there were no background agendas. Nick wanted Taylor Hall at #1 but was paranoid that I was putting on a front only to select Taylor Hall at the last second, conversely, I was paranoid that taking Tyler Seguin at #1 (despite rankings to the contrary) had the potential to make me look like an idiot. So we swapped picks, Nick is in full control and gets the guy he wants, and I get whoever drops to me at 2 without having to make the tough decision between the two players, problem solved.

This was more of a prestiage trade than anything....Nick was always taking Hall and Kareem was always taking Seguin
