If Frank got this 1st Rounder 2 months ago, this wouldn't even be up for discussion IMO. The fact he JUST traded for it likely is why we're hearing so much about this.
It is not supposed to be his highest 1st. There is no rule that says that. Neither is there a rule that says it should be removed immediately. There are several instances where people have been given time to get the draft pick they have been fined.

Yes but you are thinking I am talking about the fine Frank received. I am talking about the CC not having an opportunity to vote. That is a black and white issue. And almost everyone agrees. You and Scott are pretty much the only ones who think we should not have had a vote on it.
Why don t you guy's make a vote instead of Mike or and Scott making the decision. If you did make a vote could you show me or the league.

When?
And I always thought it was the highest pick.
If I had access to CC I could easily pull those records for you. But to give you an idea, before Nate was kicked out, he was going to be fined a pick. And it was brought up that he be given time because he does not own at pick presently. There have been instances when people own picks in the same round but still get time.
so if our CBA has holes .. why not admitt a hole is in the rule we are discussing right now. And not be so stubborn mike.
you always "thought" that it was the highest pick, then why is it not in our CBA for everyone to know 100%.
-> still stand: no rule stating what pick is removed (unless he has his own)
-> & when is it removed.

according to mike we are supposed to know rules that are not in the CBA because it was not written properly enough LOL. I know he makes genius arguments. Next he will be in support for being pulled over for driving 60 km/h in a 60 km/h zone because the government made the speed limit 40 km/h but forgot to change the speed limit signs on the road LOL.

We were just discussing "loopholes" in CBA in the CC. Lee claimed Mac Carruth, who is 18 and draft eligible. Technically, there's nothing written in the CBA against this claim but it was unanimously disallowed do to being "common sense". This case is similar, Frank made mistakes, CC voted to keep him around and thus doing so enforced the punishments. Frank had what it took to meet the requirements of said punishments, case closed. Why is this so tough to understand?
I know it's harsh and all, Im not denying that.. but it's really as black and white as that! Lets move on...

I don't want to party poop or rain on anyones parade and I also love Frank to death but I just want to say something quick. The only instances where teams were given time to find a pick were when teams didn't own a pick in that round. In Frank's case, he had a pick in the 1st round. I don't think it should matter whether the pick is 1st overall or 30th overall. If Frank didn't go trade for Philly's pick, then he probably wouldve been given time to find a 1st rounder. Unfortunately for him, he had a 1st round pick already. I really don't get what the uproar is about.

Bry the issue is not with the penalty frank is receiving.
AGAIN I REPEAT: IF THE CC VOTED TO TAKE AWAY PHI 1st 2011 FROM FRANK THERE WOULD BE NO ISSUE.
The CC wanted a discussion but Mike stepped in and said no discussion. My way or the highway.
That is the issue I am fighting here. This can't keep happening. Every time an admin pulls rank, shit hits the fan. And with good reason.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions however when it comes to ruling the Admin Team will discuss the matter in our private forum and if we feel fit we will open the discussion to the CC. If anyone has any problems with the way things are ran OR have questions/comments on improvements that can be done to the CBA please feel free to send PM to Myself/Mike/Scott/Kyle. Shiv, you're a smart guy and above this temper tantrum. The CC was not need on this issue.. the CBA was there to refer too.. it really is that simple. Wow

Mash, myself and a whole lot of members think the CC should have a say in this issue, yet it hasn't made a difference. Why?
Would you all put your tampons in and relax a little.
holy crap this is stupid.
the fine is harsh, imo a bit too harsh. but thats the ruling and its done.
lets all move on now, until bbkl gets her next period.

The vote would have been to give Frank a couple of days to find another 1st as the CBA does not say when Frank needs to pay the penalty. IMO he technically should have till draft day to find the pick to pay. Not only that but the CC could have voted on which picks in the 1st round classify as penalties i.e. #7 to #15
Starpainter wroteCOLONI admit we have been lax at times, but this you are ignorant to the reality of what the CC was designed to do.
in this discussion, you have blatantly pointed out that this is "your" league and the CC's job is to just vote on things that come up but you always have final say. Thank you for that.
For the umpteenth time I implore you to stop speaking for others. I have never said "this is my league".
Shiv, do you have xbox live? I would like to speak with you live. It is much easier to flesh out these issues with the benefit of voice communication.

ahahaha, nicely put man. FTR, I'm not mad or pissed.
This was a black and white punishment. Allowing Frank to go out and trade for a lower 1st rounder is setting bad precedent. It says "hey, break the rules and we'll be lenient". It is as simple as:
- CC votes Frank to stay
- Punishments enforced
- Pick Fined
