WJC TALK

Re: WJC TALK - TEAM CANADA ANNOUNCES CAMP INVITES
Just heard on Sportsnet that the Bruins might allow Seguin to play for Canada at the WJC. That would be a HUGE boost for the team.

I don't believe it either, but wow would it be cool!inferno31 wroteCOLONHeard that too, Don't believe it at all.bcool wroteCOLONJust heard on Sportsnet that the Bruins might allow Seguin to play for Canada at the WJC. That would be a HUGE boost for the team.
Would give them a month to sort out cap issues though lol.
Re: WJC TALK - TEAM CANADA ANNOUNCES CAMP INVITES
That's probably the only reason why the Bruins would do it.bryshook wroteCOLONI don't believe it either, but wow would it be cool!inferno31 wroteCOLONHeard that too, Don't believe it at all.bcool wroteCOLONJust heard on Sportsnet that the Bruins might allow Seguin to play for Canada at the WJC. Re: WJC TALK - TEAM CANADA ANNOUNCES CAMP INVITES
I think letting Seguin go to the WJC would be beneficial to the Bruins and Seguin. Not only for cap reasons but for Seguin to dominate, develop further as a leader and the experience doesn't hurt either!
IMO, this would go further developing Seguin as a player in all aspects..

I fully agree. I don't give a shit about the Bruins but Team Canada would have a legit #1 Center with Seguin.Raptactics wroteCOLONI think letting Seguin go to the WJC would be beneficial to the Bruins and Seguin. Re: WJC TALK - TEAM CANADA ANNOUNCES CAMP INVITES
Just not something I see the Bruins doing, risking the injury and going back to playing against kids while the bruins themselves are still playing games. Savard isn't suppose to be back till January, they'd be down a center for a few games.bcool wroteCOLONI fully agree. Re: WJC TALK - TEAM CANADA ANNOUNCES CAMP INVITES
Unless Seguin is willing to give up his NHL pay and be sent down to the AHL there is no way that hockey canada can insure Seguins NHL salary. Plus its insanity for Boston to take on that injury risk.

bcool wroteCOLON Really hard decisions..the fact that there are no returning forwards (maybe brayden schenn) means that there are no locks going into camp. Every forward position is basically up for grabs!! Our defence should look solid too, should be our strength this year.
Isn't it almost every year? Last year as the exception that I can think of.
Re: WJC TALK - TEAM CANADA ANNOUNCES CAMP INVITES
With Schenn going I believe they need to consider inviting Glennie to camp, test out their chemistry.

Man I'll be cheering on Canada but I don't think anyone's stopping the USA. They're gonna be real real good.

I think Russia is going to be near unstoppable the next two years, they are stacked.

Yep, it's going to be a Canada vs USA final again.Raptactics wroteCOLONMan I'll be cheering on Canada but I don't think anyone's stopping the USA. They're gonna be real real good.
Re: WJC TALK - TEAM CANADA ANNOUNCES CAMP INVITES
USA's group is unreal IMO... however Canada, Russia and the Swedes are never out of it, cannot wait for the games to start !!!!!
Re: WJC TALK - TEAM CANADA ANNOUNCES CAMP INVITES
Im going to be cheering canada on like a mad man because im going to be there however it sucks to say it looks like Russia and USA are the two top dogs.

Re: WJC TALK - TEAM CANADA ANNOUNCES CAMP INVITES
I like the USA's chances this tourney to be honest, the USNTDP gives them a huge step up IMO. But who knows Canada's got a blue collar team, never count them out could be impressive. I think though US or Russia wins this year, Russia for once won the tourney with the CHL teams.
Re: WJC TALK - TEAM CANADA ANNOUNCES CAMP INVITES
Still not against the OHL... where our coach is from and where at least a few of the players will be coming from.inferno31 wroteCOLONI like the USA's chances this tourney to be honest, the USNTDP gives them a huge step up IMO. My fear is that we try and focus overly on a defence first, two way type game... that's not our prospect strength this year, we could ice a very very competitive small, skilled team. That would also make use of the softer calls that we typically have trouble adjusting too.

All skill players... the passing and hockey IQ in this group is unmatched by any other nation, we could run complex systems and bring an attack that no one anticipates... and these kids are all used to facing bigger opponents so that'll be nothing new...
