btw Crosby put 298 SOG last season, a career best. the 2nd best total was in 2005-2006 when he put 278 SOG and put up 39 goals. in 2008-2009 he had 238 SOG and 33 goals. His shooting percentage has gone up significantly as have the shots. 97 on goal this season.

Crosby was always a great goal scorer, the stats only indicate that he is shooting more. Not a drastic improvement in ability, by contrast Ov's increase in assists indicate that he is passing more, not a drastic improvement in ability. Merely citing stats without substance proves nothing.

P.S. Ov has improved his hits, and is the second highest passer in the NHL as of today.

that is probably the worst argument I have ever heard. Crosby has become a MUCH better goal scorer than he was before. obviously he could score goals but that ability has drastically increased. you keep calling people idiots when you argue with them yet you say such idiotic things when you argue lol.

Ovechkin hits have ranged around 200 lol there has been no improvement dont say things that are not true. in fact he had 240 in 2007-2008 then had around 170 last season but the suspended games impacted those numbers.

Ovechkin's suddenly not a playmaker. in fact if you hear what ovechkin himself says, teams are checking him much more tightly now. his best option is pass more and more now. i read an interview on this.

I meant to point out that while Crosby has improved areas of his game drastically, Ovechkin has stayed the same. Ovechkin's BIGGEST criticism is that he does not play 2-way hockey. and in 5 years it is safe to say that he is not that much better than he was in 2005-2006.
