Dear Mike & CC,
I am writing you to officially tender my resignation from the BBKL and my role as GM of the Tampa Bay organization.
While I greatly appreciated my time with the league, recent changes and decisions in organization have changed my position at the BBKL. I feel that it's best for my own satisfaction in fantasy hockey to focus my attention at a place that is fun, and not a headache, at every turn. I believe in keeping things prioritized, know I did so during my tenure running the league and have lost faith in the current leadership.
Please let me know if I can be of assistance during this transition. However I know Scott has the books in order, We (me too) already paid a good portion of the 5 year fantrax, and leave the incoming GM with a host of options with the competitive roster.
Sincerely,
Nick

What made him think Mike wudve reversed the ruling is beyond me
Re: Nick quit
I'm not sure why he "has lost faith in the current leadership" and "believe in keeping things prioritized, know I did so during my tenure running the league", as all we are doing is cleaning up the CBA to have a completely black and white set of rules for GMs to easily follow.

Re: Nick quit
Ya you guys are doing a great job I think. The new GM's seem to be more keen and experienced and with the increased activity we are finding more and more holes in the day to day. I think the CC is doing a great job at managing it, which is not easy.
Sucks to see Nick go, all over a mistake he made, but nonetheless, I'm sure someone will be more than happy to take over his roster.

I wonder if Ship comes over and gets 15 points this year whether quitting will have been worth it... sucks to lose a GM but maybe its for the best.
Re: Nick quit
Sucks to lose a good GM over bad book keeping.
But please. Don't blame management for your mistakes. And then try to hold them accountable when they enforce clearly labelled rules.

sorry to see nick go, he was one of the best!
Re: Nick quit
Well put and I take offence to the lost faith in current management comment when the CC has enforced the same rule multiple times in the past. Mike has always been for roster submission as an official list of your assets and has supported GMs losing players and Shep chimed in that it has always been this way too, they are not new management. This decision had nothing to do with new management and some of the newer members (myself included if I'm still considered new CC) were the ones who really were looking for any reason not to enforce the rule this time. If you don't want to own up and accept blame for your mistake then so be it, but I don't think it is fair to shift blame and look for a scape goat especially when you are not privy to CC discussions.Lee wroteCOLONSucks to lose a good GM over bad book keeping.

With that being said it's still really disappointing to lose a good GM and such a long standing and valued member of the community. Wish you would have stepped away for a bit rather then quit over something emotional. Spin it anyway you want with fun, priorities and management but the optics are you quit because you lost a player and CC didn't allow an exception to a rule. This is a league you have committed so much time to and leaving because of a bookkeeping mistake seems really unfortunate and short sighted to me.

Well that's a shame, seems a waste over one asset when his team is still so strong

Re: Nick quit
Nick is a good guy. I feel bad that we had to do what we did but I wish he would've just handled his business which didn't seem unreasonable. He wasn't being singled out or picked on. This would've happened to anyone else that left a player off their roster all season. This should be a reminder to everyone to stay on top of their bookkeeping. I think we all would prefer to still have him in the league but I don't want keep people here that don't want to be here.
