Tim Murray was one of the more overrated GMs, IMO

Interested to see how this folds out. I imagine they settle for a Mil or two, but I had no idea Henderson was out of work after this.lightupdadarkness wroteCOLONNHL linesman Henderson files $10.25M lawsuit against Wideman, Flames

LMAO future earning of 10 mil. No way refs make more than like 250k annually, and this guy turns 50 next year. He probably had, what, like 10 more years left? I'd bet they settle for around 2 mil.lightupdadarkness wroteCOLONNHL linesman Henderson files $10.25M lawsuit against Wideman, Flames

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
future earnings AND harm inflicted to Quality of life.
So 250? x 17 years (until age 65 and he's been out what... 2? years) + the negative aspects to his daily life.
Sounds about right for the number you'd file the suit at. They're always high, but I know that it's a number that comes from a formulaic process.

... head on HNIC that apparently the NHL was planning on firing him for poor performances too. Could be a real nasty one, but I guarantee there is a settlement from sub-2 Million

Has to play for the Devils or the other 30 teams have to approve him coming back I believe unless they do a sign and trade but when's the last time that happened?
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Smart thing for NJ would be to just trade him. At least get something for him.lightupdadarkness wroteCOLONWants toMatthew wroteCOLONFriedman says kovy is returning to NHL

New Jersey has to agree as well, which I can't see them doing to get noting for him. He'll either head back to NJ or sign and trade I think.lightupdadarkness wroteCOLONWants toMatthew wroteCOLONFriedman says kovy is returning to NHL

On a side note, great news for Kyle. Does he have to protect Kovalchuk? I assume not since he doesn't currently have a contract/isn't part of the NHL.

Hall and Kovy could be nice for the Devils, and nice boost for KapG too

Based on the fact that I would have to protect Dadonov in ADHL, I assume he will have to protect KovyHandsome&FairMike wroteCOLONNew Jersey has to agree as well, which I can't see them doing to get noting for him. Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Not a chance Kovy ever plays for the Devils. He's been toying with coming back to the NHL for a couple of years now. Too many hurt feelings not to mention NJ is a bad team and a long ways from changing that. He's going to want to play for a team he perceives can help win a cup. That's why I say if NJ is smart they will deal him rather than losing him for nothing because it gives them control over where they send him. Can you imagine if he were to wind up in Washington, Pittsburgh, NY, or Philly? Would be a public relations nightmare.

i dont think kapg needs to protect kovy
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
pretty sure he doesn't need to protect him, UNLESS he's signed before our submission day (May 15)

We've had this discussion before in ADHL regarding Dadonov. Because they have previous NHL experience they are eligible for expansion.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
we're following NHL rules, i don't believe kovy needs to be protected because he doesn't have a NHL team....i guess a way to find out would be to check the devils cap friendly team page.timwebb1212 wroteCOLONWe've had this discussion before in ADHL regarding Dadonov. Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
or use the example of Nichuskin in DAL, he's exempt I believe

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Cap friendly does not have Kovalchuk or Dadonov listed anywhere for their expansion draft tool, not in exempt or in eligible, but it does show Nichushkin as eligible to be taken
