I take Jaybo and Chara before all of those, not saying they are better individually, but god damn, can you imagine a pairing with that much size, shutdown ability and sheer grit?

ill take Pronger-Markov over Chara-Jaybo anyday.

Jaybo and Chara work, because they are big, mobile and both play an elite shutdown game. Pronger and Markov are probably better offensively, but no pairing in the league could hope to play better in their own end than Chara-Jaybo. For my money they are two of the top three top shutdown defenceman in the NHL, the third being Chris Pronger.
