Looks like the Flames played it very well

Not really sure how Gaudreau could land 7.5+ type of money yet. The guy is 23...6.75 is an awesome contract. Calgary had all the negotiating power IMO after all the recent signings of younger players.

amazing how Lazar looked to be such promising leader and a character guy who can dish it out in the NHL but just gets pushed out of Sens depth

Good on ya for hanging onto him...I was waiting him to sign a deal and jump on him if he was a free agent with us.

Sounded like he's had a good camp with the Kings. He's supposedly has good chemistry with Kopitar. He's benefiting from the Gaborik injury. His best years in San Jose were when he meshed well with Thornton.
