NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I was trying to trade him Bolland. Thats probably the blockbuster he was referring to.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
We were talking about swapping teams but he wanted to keep anyone of note from his roster.foofnik wroteCOLONDamn.
Who was talking a blockbuster with him? I'm curious. We had a deal if his blockbuster fell through.

This is the exact feeling I've had for a while too on this matter. But at this point, I don't really care anymore and wouldn't vote for or against a change if it came down to a vote.Fraser wroteCOLONTaking a team from shit to mediocre in this league is easy. But taking that next step to being a contender is way harder. I can see why your pushing for this so hard. You blew your load on the current build, you had the deepest prospect pool in the league got impatient and sold too early. Now you are completely dry to further improve it and have nowhere to go so you've built up this whoe idea that you are a "rebuilder" who needs another new roster to start with becuase you dont want to face the reality that you need to tear some of this one down to try and move forward. Which isa tough thing no doubt. But stand by your team and stop with this bullshit. Its getting really tiresome to keep reading.

Agreed 100%. It's easy to use your draft picks and get a decent group together. Try winning in this league...that's a whole other animal.Arian The Insider wroteCOLONThis is the exact feeling I've had for a while too on this matter. I've been trying pretty much since I joined (1 year after the league started + I was away for a year). Closest I came was the finals but that basically took a year-long trading cycle binge that tore my roster down and built it back up into a contender. A move like that now is almost impossible.
You have to take a slower approach with good young players, depth, waiver-exempt guys etc., with cap constantly fucking you every year. And you have to beat some awesome teams in either conference.

I am not even closely reading into this as much as some. I just see it as a fantasy hockey league and thought it would be something fun for Lee. Whoever the guy was that came and left, i think he was right. Ornery about says it.

Smid out for the year with neck injuries (apparently not retiring but I can't imagine he'll ever be back in the NHL).

Trouba requests trade from Jets re: wanting to play on the right side. Gotta imagine there will be ++ interest around the league with RHD being coveted.

The Wings would be fools to not get involved.

Hope Trouba lands on a top pairing somewhere

Would that make him expansion draft exempt? If so. I'm all for it.
