This happened in Phoenix, I doubt law enforcement were aware what a hockey player was. Had it happened in his hometown (ala Kane) I'm sure he would of gotten off.

I think he will go on a tear, but I doubt it has much to do with the contract situation. Pro's don't think about that during the season, and I'm sure he knew he was going be signed regardless.

Now, obviously Carter was going to get his money but with who? It kind of reminds me when all the talk of Carter being traded for Kaberle a few years back and then Carter puts together that 2008-2009 season. I honestly think Carter can breathe now and his play will show it. Carter really hasn't looked himself so far this season.. I'm obviously calling it as I see it and this is my opinion.
