He's played a lot of hard minutes this year. That will diminish as they filter in some more of the kids, but he's shown he more than I previously thought he had before he got to Philly.

From what I've read he has greatly improved his defensive game over the last 2 seasons to where it is at #3 or #4 NHL dman levels. And he is decent offensively.

But I haven't watched much of the flyers, so Casper would likely be far more informed.

He's still ideally a 3rd pairing guy on a good team, but he is a positive defender at this point whereas previously he really didn't belong in the NHL.
