Reason Anaheim does this trade:

I traded Michalek [D] for oleksiak + clendening, and while I like these 2, I'm concerned there is a chance neither will ever become full time nhlers. By doing this I essentially make the trade Michalek + 4th for Orpik + Carr + clendening. I find this much safer given I may be in tough for gp again next season. And if we move to wlt, I may be able to get a few wins focusing on periph now.

I hope that oleksiak breaks out next year for Paul, although I suspect it will need to be on a team other than Dallas, as they are stacked with young talented dmen. He has a high bbkl upside.
