I don't evem think sid/ov ever hit 140, nevermind 164 for stammer.

Unlike Sid, Stammer has awesome line-mates ... and he's more consistent shift in and shift out then Ovy... I'm not saying I think he'll get 160, but I'm saying its not impossible.

I'd say its insanely unlikely, nothings impossible. Who knows maybe some team signs Toskala and their starter, back up and the Zamboni guy get injured. Baring the unforeseen I'd doubt anyone this year tops 130-135. Injuries happen.

Unlike Sid, Stammer has awesome line-mates ... and he's more consistent shift in and shift out then Ovy... I'm not saying I think he'll get 160, but I'm saying its not impossible.

I've seen over 70% of TB's games since the lockout, as I love their style of play, and have followed Stamkos' career closely since he was drafted by Sarnia. Needless to say I love the kids game, but to say he is more consistent shift in and shift out than OV is insane...OV is one of the most consistent hockey players in the world, if not the most. He is visible, and dangerous every single shift, and demands double coverage on most nights (something Stamkos doesn't have to worry about yet). By contrast there are TONS of shifts Stamkos goes missing, particulaurly 5 on 5. Thankfully he is a killer on the pp, and his 24 pp goals last season demonstrate that, but he is not the same calibre as OV/Sid. Just a tier below.

I won't disagree that Stamkos is a tier below ov/crosby. BUT i think he can crack 60 goals and 130 points this year. The odds on favourite to win all the trophies imo.

putting up points does not necessarily mean better. stamkos has the opportunity and skill to do it this year. but id still take crosby/ov before him to build a champion.

It's funny because both OV and Sids rookie season are higher than Stamkos career year, and they have consitently produced higher than any other players since entering the league, and yet Stamkos is the better offensive player...Some of you really need to give your head a shake.
