By all rights. he should be a free agent:

His contract was not submitted during roster submission nor week 1 nor did he have the cap to add him to his bench during roster submission. His cap hit is 1,040,000, but NJD only had $1,030,400 in cap space
He is 27 years old, not waiver exempt eligible

Tikhonov will go on waivers tomorrow at noon.

To be fair, the roster submission didn't leave any time to double-check anyone's work to catch any additional players that should've had to clear waivers. You want to believe everyone did things properly but in Tyler's case, he made some errors. This will be the last year this happens.

A player listed on googledocs and fantrax isn't a free agent. If Tyler owned Tikhonov last year and left him off this year then you would be correct and have a valid claim. Tyler is already being punished by losing a player he had on fantrax due to not filling out googledocs correctly.

Your sense of entitlement is actually getting to be a bit much, a guy made a typo and is most likely losing a player over it. He's being punished for making a mistake and is acting like an adult over it and admitting he made a mistake, you however are acting like a child in that you're not being rewarded by trying to exploit an ambiguous rule. Why would a player listed on Fantrax and on a SS become a free agent? There is absolutely no reason why he would, and the league is following its own rules in putting him on waivers, be happy you've cost Tyler a player and move on.

That is why he is being waived since he couldn't bench him. There is nothing that suggests he should be a free agent rather than waived.

It is a complex you are right about that Lee, anyways I have a life outside of BBKL so not gonna waste more time arguing this, Matt is right there's no reason for him to magically become a UFA because you feel you deserve to get him for noticing a typo.

If Tyler entered his info correctly, he would've either gone on waivers before the season started or someone else would've been waived as a result if he chose to waive someone else. Tyler had him on his roster in all three aspects that you're supposed to show ownership of a player. Him going on waivers is what should've happened in the first place.
