I think it just means that he will have to move Lydman and Recchi before he can activate Savard or Streit. Shiv can move anything.

also if you have been watching LA you will notice simmonds isn't playing top 6 right now. If this trend continues major win for shiv.

I think modano is an under apreciated part of this deal though. he will be a great bottom 6 for billy. All in all good deal.
