I could not pay that.
Re: SUV
I was paying 390 or like 5000 a year (good lord) and when TD sent me my renewal forms they said they wanna jack it up to 6100$ lmao. Needless to say I phoned them up and told them to go fuck themselves.CAM wroteCOLONOMG...216 a month? For how many and what vehicles? I figured I was being ripped off before I even got the new price they wanted to charge me
My driving record is perfect btw *knock on wood*

Re: SUV
ya that's borderline retarded. TD went all nuts 2 years ago. Our car insurance with 2 cars + 2 ATVS was 1300 for the wife and i. TD decided they wanted to bump us up to $3100. I made the same call and told them to fly a kite. We're with a private insurance company here in NS now. We're back down to 1100 or something for 2 cars + 2 ATVsKapG wroteCOLONI was paying 390 or like 5000 a year (good lord) and when TD sent me my renewal forms they said they wanna jack it up to 6100$ lmao. When i called and asked them why they tripled our rate the lady on the phone said "we had massive losses because of the Calgary flooding so we decided to share our loses with our clients"KapG wroteCOLONYah my old rate was retarded as it was. i asked her how that was going, she replied:
"not well, we've lost over 60% of our clients"

That's what they get for forcing their customers to foot the bill

Re: SUV
Ya, it was literally one of the most retarded things i've heard. I told the lady on the phone that insurance companies are one of the most profitable companies in the world, and they should expect loses the odd year because of the enviroment (storms, floods, hurricans, etc...). But you can't go and jack your rates to make up for the loss of any given year. Those loses should be covered by the billions you've already profitted over the past decade.KapG wroteCOLONLolThe BBKL Insider wroteCOLONWhen i called and asked them why they tripled our rate the lady on the phone said "we had massive losses because of the Calgary flooding so we decided to share our loses with our clients"KapG wroteCOLONYah my old rate was retarded as it was. Re: SUV
I just traded in an 09 Acura RDX and thought it was amazing.
The turbo-4 has wicked torque and the AWD is awesome. Plus the ride is exceptional and the interior is beautiful.

Re: SUV
+1 as the overall. Build quality, engines, and price. Most of the forestry sector here on the BC coast swears by them compared to the other brands. The old 5.4 triton was the only beef in regards to changing spark plugs. the 5L & ttv6 are both hits. toughest suspension and happiest to run even when beat to shit.KapG wroteCOLONI think F150s are the nicest trucks btw
the chevy's/GMC are similarly as good, although I find their interiors cheap, but they are a size-able amount more $.
and finally the dodges are the entire range, from the cheapest and lowest quality to the most expensive and nicest.
If i were buying new, today, I would take a long look at the dodge 1500 w/diesel. However I don't drive on logging roads all day long so suspension wear isn't a primary concern for me.
Not as capable as work trucks, but I know some foresters who've switched over to Tacoma's as their work trucks. If you're not moving gear and/or fuel, but simply bodies, that's a nice option. However it's not saving money as they cost the same as the full-sizes from the other brands. hahhahah
