Re: LAK-BOS
Cam made the offer 1 for 1, i wrote back and said it was fair but i wanted to see if anything else came in from my block, he wrote back and added the pick and said he'd do that now if i accepted.
thus you see the deal posted.

Re: LAK-BOS
yep. That what happens when you save 4 million in cap and nobody in the league that has space is willing to pay. In a mini rebuild as i was 14 million over the cap.....So far:Matthew wroteCOLONWeird that Cam is the one adding to the 50 point player.
Out:
Iginla 38 5.3 mil
Soderberg 29 4.75 mil
In:
Stewart 1.7
Connolly 1.025
Two players on "prove it" contracts. Big gambles on my part but also exciting at the same time.
Re: LAK-BOS
The waiver eligibility rule changes, is going to have a huge impact on this upcoming season. I suspect some teams will get some pretty sweet players by waiver claims.
Re: LAK-BOS
Only change was lowering age to 27 and there are almost no good players that haven't played 120 games by the time they are 27.CAM wroteCOLONThe waiver eligibility rule changes, is going to have a huge impact on this upcoming season. I should have tried to get Soderberg instead of Iginla haha

more than that....Bruyns wroteCOLONOnly change was lowering age to 27 and there are almost no good players that haven't played 120 games by the time they are 27.CAM wroteCOLONThe waiver eligibility rule changes, is going to have a huge impact on this upcoming season. his past season parameters for waivers eligibility have been edited.
The age limit has been lowered by 2 yrs as follows:
Skaters will need to have played max 120 NHL regular season games AND to have yet to turn 26 as of October 1st to be waiver exempt throughout the starting BBKL season.
Goalies will need to have played max 60 NHL regular season games AND to have yet to turn 26 as of October 1st to be waiver exempt throughout the starting BBKL season.
That means skaters with 121 NHL regular season games will be eligible for waivers no matter the age, just like 26 yrs old players with less games played.
If under NHL contract, such players will be exposed to waivers if in the minors at roster submission (for season opener) and whenever they are demoted during the season (off-season excluded).
Note: that new age limit is not supposed to drop any further in future seasons.

Re: LAK-BOS
it impacts me. arcobello, Anders Lindback, and matt hackett all become waiver eligible due to the rule change. It forces some teams to make more choices because there are going to be more waiver eligible players throughout the league than there used to be. It should help rebuilding teams grab some depth.Bruyns wroteCOLONOnly change was lowering age to 27 and there are almost no good players that haven't played 120 games by the time they are 27.CAM wroteCOLONThe waiver eligibility rule changes, is going to have a huge impact on this upcoming season. it also makes guys coming out of the ncaa @ 23 yrs old, and then needing a couple of yrs in the AHL a lot closer to the waiver status. Chad ruhwedel, for example, is now a lot closer for me.

Used to be 28 and 150 gp. That is a significant change.
