Ugh...For a fantasy hockey league that we are supposed to be in for fun and our love of hockey and the excitement of managing a team with such detail, stuff like this is really deterring interest. really sucks...we need the season to start asap so the big wigs Kareem and Shiv can back up all their talk. Otherwise we are going to implode with the emotions generated by the BBKL rag.

This is one of the reasons I stepped down from the CC a while back and have refused a couple of times to be a mod. There is way too much whining and complaining going on that I can just ignore as a regular participant. As a Mod/CC member, I have to deal with it.

Trust me, this isn't about me.. it's about the league and what's best for it!!

I'm not nor was I emotional during the debate/conversation.. you must of just read that in my posts.
well imo it is alot easier to get a player dual eligability than to take his away from him. going off a site where they are listed as there primary position and then going from there would be alot easier to do. That is my arguement. I would rather start with a site that has dubinsky as a C and give him dual eligability, than start with a site that has Dats dual eligable. To me it isnt comparable. As to your comment about sportsnet, the channel and tv broadcasting might not be as high quality but as far as I can tell the site is right up there.
But listing Dubinsky as LW/C tells you how fast TSN is at updating their site. Dubinsky played a lot of LW last season and is going to continue there this year. It's not rocket science here.. John Tortorella said himself Dubinsky plays best as a LWer.. now if he's never played there, is he guessing? Did he try him there for 1 game? Like think about it man.. how can we start a season with 0 dual eligibility when there are a ton of guys who deserve it and GM's who've done their due dilligence to acquire an upper hand through players with this eligibility.
I didnt say we have to wait until the season starts did I? I meant right away. Well this is a lost cause this isnt a discusion I can tell things won't get better so I will just stop talking.

let's all be friends, and ask each other to be honest in regards to player positions.

We originally added the 3-5 centre position to cover mis-labelled players, however too many GM's took that as an excuse to find 5 true centres + 2 other mis-labelled (aka dual eligible) players, creating teams with 7 or 8 centres... which is a real issue, and if you planned to have them play wing thats just fucked... REMEMBER we want people dressing a semi-realistic lineup here, which is why we only allow 1 starting goalie (gp max), work within a salary cap (attempt at putting a ceiling on how good teams are) and have all 30 teams, this combines for an awesome experience...

I truly struggle to see what the issue with that is, dress a realistic lineup based around 3-5 guys taking draws, 8 guys playing wing, 6 on the blue-line, 1 in net and 1 riding the pine..... we shouldn't need to make detailed rules like this to stop GM's from grey-area cheating.

Everyone does need to calm down and shit... no need to talk about quitting or drastic changes.... we're ironing out small details, after by next off-season any issues we have should be minimal... remember we're not just in this for the short-term, but rather the long haul !!!!
