They are only showing slide eligible because you have the dates entered incorrectly.....

I would think it would be pretty obvious that a 27 year old's contract can't slide?

Matthew, you don't have any on your roster but column I in your spreadsheet...you'll know if your player is eligible to "slide". It applies for any player under the age of 20 and who hasn't played more than 10 games...you don't have to count them towards your 50 contract limit. You can slide them for the entire season if you want but you can't slide them if you've played them in actual lineup. It's basically a rookie exempt list.

It's entirely optional unless you need to get under 50 contracts.
