Well to evaluate the trade from my perspective:

Palmieri was drafted 26th overall - about the same location as the STL pick next year.
I've been trying to trade Kana for a while - a 3rd was what I lowered my asking price to.
Nystrom is a solid 4th liner who hits a lot of categories.

If it was anyone other than Palmieri, I probably would not have done this trade.
