And im pretty sure that Im not complaining only because its affecting me directly. I think its one thing to "tank" and play shittier nhl players if you have the depth but to play ahl/chl guys who have no chance of racking up GP..especially at the goalie position, is kind of pushing it.

W-L-T doesn't fix the goalie problem. They would still almost guarantee losing weeks because they go into every week 0-3-1. It might not sound like much, but against other bottom feeders it all but locks in a L for that team. Regardless of how many points were in a week. Trust me, I had zero goalie starts for 5 weeks. I lost a couple of those weeks where even a 2-2-0 goalie stats would have won me the week.

The issue at hand is that we allow this to happen without injuries occurring, not how it magnifies wins. If this can't happen, it really doesn't matter what scoring system we have for standings. at least not using this as an example.

Another big issue is how we allow teams to use 2 goalie systems in one week. I faced 6 starts against in a week. I know another team had 6+ weeks with two starters, 5 times reaching 6 starts. It might not sound like a big deal but it assures a win in the goalie win and shtoi categories before a week starts. The fact that games played during the post season, regardless of still playing or not, count towards yearly totals mean that one team could essentially play all 82 games in the regular season and none in the offseason to help their pick get higher in the standings, assuming the didn't own it as that is how it would be advantageous. The flip side of this is that a team with two starters could easily get 20+ starts in the playoff time period alone which would mean they only had to dress a goalie for 5-6 weeks in the regular season. That could totally change tanking as well.

Both topics I sent via pm to the CC a month or two ago. Both need to be addressed in the offseason. There is no way a team should be allowed to dress two starters in a week, regardless of the circumstances that created the two starters.

I wish these faggy issues wouldn't come up but it was something I saw coming.

there are multiple issues with goaltending and gp imo. There is a rule against having more then 4 goalie starts in the playoffs (obviously would have been an exception if it were something like TBL having 5 in one week) because it is deemed unfair but yet it is allowed to occur in the regular season? seems like an easy clarification that needs to be taken place.

also gp in general. guys don't have to dress multiple positions in the regular season and can make up gp in the postseason. needs to be addressed, simply making the gp requirements based off the 21 week regular season seems like an easy option but thankfully, I don't have to make those decisions.

this league will clearly be ever evolving as we keep finding loopholes and abuse them. Everyone does it, so clearly not an attack on a person, just the rules.

I see no reason why we cannot go with 60+ GGP on the season and no more than 5GP from goalies in a week. It's low enough that it's a risk to start 2 starters, but leaves 5 GP for an NHL system to be reasonable.
