Markov, PieT, Doughty, OEL, Chara, Josi, Weber, Karlsson & Suter will have all played a disgusting amount of hockey this year, walking into top 4 roles on their respective Olympic teams as well.

Guys who average 25+ a night over a compressed 82 game schedule... ugh... no lie, you do get into a rhythm, i'm at 5 games in the last 7 days and the last two my lungs felt a lot better.

Chara is down to about 25 min/gm now. Quite a decrease from his 29-30 in seasons past.

Gotta go all the way back to 08 to find a season where Chara averaged more than 25 and change a night (seems to be what he always does), and that year he was 26:04

Suter averages over 29.5 mins a night. He has broken the 30 min plateau on far more then one occasion haha. Hell while edler was out, hamhuis broke the 30 min on multiple occassions.

I think there is a reason Boston hold Chara around the 25min mark, at least until playoffs, they know he's their best, but you don't want a tired Chara all season, much like a starting goalie you gotta control their toi.

Lol a very specific thresh hold 32 Min. Yea Suter does, I don't get how he can play so many minutes. I have personally seen him play over 32 three times this year, that is crazy (DAL,NYI,VAN). I don't know how he holds up throughout the season.

I'm not trying to be a dick and I am not taking anything away from OEL, great Dman, just commenting on the only once thing.

I almost think OEL needs a trade before he will be properly rated. Guy is hidden in the desert, needs to be seen more often so he can be appreciated. I can't blame people for missing OEL last night, PHX/CGY is boring hockey to watch. I wouldn't stay up until midnight or later to watch that haha.

Chara is losing a step imo. He wasn't the same last year as he was in previous years and I only see that digressing. Still an elite dman, just not the same player that was robbed of the Hart Trophy in 09. I doubt a dman every wins again after watching that season, what more could a dman have done.
