To clarify, it's Ethan Moreau, Jere Lehtinen, Ville Koistinen, Nick Dodge, 2010 4th round pick (FLA), 2010 3rd round waiver pick (DAL)

Re: Dallas-Detroit
I believe it s a win win but I got the edge for sure. if Detroit doesn t make the playoff I could get a top 15 pick 2011. So I ll be set up next year with pick and all of it.

Re: Dallas-Detroit
The down side of the deal is obviously trading that 1st rounder. Frank can attest to how much I waivered on doing this. As Frank mentioned...he wins big if I don't make the playoffs. Trading Ryan Smyth isn't a big deal considering he's my 3rd or 4th best winger now after acquiring Penner, Knuble, and Jokinen. I still have two holes to address...a second goalie and a top 6 center. A bright side is that I've successfully moved every big contract I have left. No one on the team makes more than Penner ($4.25 million). I have a lot of room to take on salary and I'm not burdened with any long contracts.
