It's a gift, some are blessed with it at birth and just run with it, some develop their talents later on, and some lose their way completely. And then there are those who never had it to begin with, they are commonly reffered to as idiots. It's funny really, you'd think they would have the best sense of humour, seeing as how they watch the Nucks 82 times a year.SuperMario wroteCOLONLOL kareem. you have eased my uneasiness about this trade with your humour.

Man crazy world we live in. People still have to do that after the Geneva Code and all the Human Rights laws against torture. One day we'll live in a just and free world..MSP4LYFE wroteCOLON

Liking the deal for the shivster.... adding kaberle is killer loss for the return IMO.

i think i may have thrown away the championship to be honest, which is why kareem is so happy. but dont worry kareem. im not even CLOSE to finished yet .
My theory is, if you land the best deal (doesn't matter how much you give up) it is impossible to say you lost the deal.
That right there is a good old fashion block buster.
I love it
Re: CLB/PIT MALKIN TO PITTSBURGH
Meh.
Malkin brings offence only, and although the league is becoming more offence-oriented, Shiv loses a lot of other stats in this deal.
But, I guess if you can afford it, then whateverrrrr.

Re: CLB/PIT MALKIN TO PITTSBURGH
Since Shiv already has a thread putting Kaberle up for bids...the dust hasn't settled on this deal. I looked at it initially and liked it for Columbus and then looked at the stats and still like it for Columbus. Plus, when you add in getting Visnovsky on the cheap...it pretty much replaces Kaberle plus he adds a solid guy like Kubina to his defense. Shiv adds another big time player in Malkin and I suppose he's got enough depth overall to allow him the luxury to add a piece like him. Columbus becomes a deeper team with this move as well as the Visnovsky move.
As an aside, I made a couple moves in another league that I'm where I inherited a bad team with Malkin as the main piece but I'll end up with Kesler, Pominville and potentially either Hall or Seguin and I was the ability to upgrade my goaltending dramatically as well. If you're not an elite team with a top-end individual player, I'm of the belief that you trade them to make you a more diverse and deeper team statistically. You don't win with individuals unless you have Gretzky from the mid-80s and their productions is so off the charts that they can win categories on their own.
