Shiv and I have discussed previously how we both read Kulkas Korner. I saw it there today about Niemi being signed, so I was aware. I figured he was aware as well because last time we talked he didn't talk about Manny. Really it was a perfect storm for me to make the trade, because I caught him soon after he woke up, before he checked all those sites.

i didn't know he wasn't aware and it wasn't malicious. As soon as we confirmed it we were talking and he was saying he hopes Greiss out battles Nitty. I said that'd be hard to do from the AHL. Thats when it hit him.

dude it was amazing. i work the night shift so i woke up at like 4:04 pm. my laptop has a message blinking from neel at 4:01 pm. so i respond. we get to talking about the deal and its posted. i havent checked email or any of the hockey sites that i usually check. i didnt even check the BBKL discussion board because i know you guys posted it there. i just made the trade on gut about greiss. as soon as the trade is posted i say i hope greiss beats out nitty. and neel is like how hes in the ahl. didnt you hear they signed niemi. here is where i begin to kick myself for making a deal without checking anything.
