It almost needs to be a threeway with whoever is jumping on the injured Rinne.
GM adding Rinne needs to be included in a deal to land Hutton for something (dunno who even owns him)

Re: Pekka Rinne
Actually probably makes zero sense for both of us
Re: Pekka Rinne
I had some preliminary talks with Thom before this block went up and cap and goalie GP are both not an issue for me. I'm probably the best fit for that reason and I don't have a goalie system, but I really like the potential Reimer and Gibson have and don't think giving up 2 potential #1s and adding more assets is the smartest move for a rebuilding team to make.
Having an elite goalie locked up is appealing, but rumours of the cost for Hellberg and Hutton make it a risky play if he has any more health issues in the future. I think it's going to be tough for Thom to extract full value for Rinne right now, which is going to make any potential deals difficult. Rinne > Markstrom and Arian refusing to add shows how low Rinne's value is right now with his high cap hit and questionable health.

Re: Pekka Rinne
i have hutton. when you first mentioned rinne a few months ago i was thinking ana tandem for rinne + something was something that could work but a 7 million dollar goalie is crippling man. it would have little effect on my team now as im full of kids, but when i do decide to take a run i just know that move would come back to bite me.

backstrom maybe? is he still an NHL goalie?

Re: Pekka Rinne
unless he's on form and giving you a good shot at 4 categories every week. than it's King henrik style money well spent.
Re: Pekka Rinne
he might, but the ducks tandem are doing just that as well for 4.5 and 2.something a piece

I don't think Rinne is every going to duplicate his numbers from 2 years ago. But that's just me
