Re: [Off Season] Waiver Pickup Thread
Yea, I figure he should get some solid time as a 4th line center. He also has a history of success on PK. No harm in seeing what he can offer i guess, he can be buried in the minors.
Re: [Off Season] Waiver Pickup Thread
I was gonna grab him but passed cuase i dont think he cracks the lineup.mr. bruin wroteCOLONBruins would like to Claim Buffalo C, Colin Stuart.
Re: [Off Season] Waiver Pickup Thread
Well i would say he would be a 13th forward and if injury occurs he should be first callup. He can be put in minors and i do not have injury callup depth so i figured why not!bills09 wroteCOLON

Re: [Off Season] Waiver Pickup Thread
pretty sure hes gonna have to clear waivers again to be put in the minors.
Re: [Off Season] Waiver Pickup Thread
Yea i just noticed that. Thought he was younger. Ah well, I will have approx 6 guys on waivers...expect to keep at least one..lolbills09 wroteCOLONpretty sure hes gonna have to clear waivers again to be put in the minors.
Re: [Off Season] Waiver Pickup Thread
I'll be waiving a few guys come the start of the season. Hopefully the teams that need players are on the ball, because they certainly don't care about getting players now.

Re: [Off Season] Waiver Pickup Thread
This isnt a waiver claim, it is a FA signing. No 24 hr period. I can claim 10 FA in 24 hrs if I want.
Re: [Off Season] Waiver Pickup Thread
Thats like saying an NHL team can only sing one free agent in a day. makes no sense and it is not in the rules. Waiver calims, yes, FA signings = NO. Good try though. I knew the time when i made the claim.
Re: [Off Season] Waiver Pickup Thread
PS.. None of these players are on waivers. There is no waivers in the offseason. And if you did want to argue than i would refer you to the rules where it states A GM can only make 1 claim every 12 HOURS
I can go pickup 10 more players today if i choose. You guys know this.

Re: [Off Season] Waiver Pickup Thread
Just for reference if this was during the season and waiver wire was active. If it is intended to be 24 hours we better edit the CBA asap.
Waiver Wire Rules
- when acquiring a player from a GMs minors and you want to place that player in your lineup, if he's played over the 150 games (75 for a goalie) he'll need to clear waivers. Same with acquiring a player from a team's lineup or pressbox and you wanting to send him down, he'll need to clear waivers. You've been warned.
- for our upcoming waiver draft.. any available veteran claimed can start the year in the minors or in your lineup waiver free. They will need to clear waivers on the way up or down after that though if eligible.
Waiver eligibility: Any player who is over 21 years of age & has played in more then 150 games needs to clear waivers (up or down). Any goalie who is over 22 years of age, and has played in more then 75 games needs to clear waivers. Any player over 28 must clear waivers. Waiver eligibilities are retroactive to the beginning of the season. Anyone who was waived or in the free agent pool before October 5th may be freely claimed.
Please make sure any moves do not put you over the cap or your team will be punished!
NCAA and International FA's can only be claimed via the leagues annual dispersal draft, you may not claim them through the waiver wire, unless X player has been signed by an NHL club prior to the start of the season.
We do not allow conditioning stints.
2nd, the process: our rosters must have 20-23 active players, 2 of whom must be goalies, 2 LW, 4C, 2RW, 6D, you cannot call up or send down players that violates this rule (its over-riding).
a) if you have 23 active players, and want to call up a rookie, it means sending another player down. Ideally you'd have a player who does not need to clear waivers in order to be sent down, and if that is the case; good for you! However if not, he is required to clear waivers -> this is a 24 hour period where other GM's can take his contract (and his rights). This GM inherits him as active (as in not in the minors), and as such would have to either have a 22 man active roster, or send one of his own players down.
b) you have an un-active player that you'd like to make active, however he is over 21 & has played more then 150 games. So he must clear re-entry waivers. There is a 12 hour window wherein another team can claim him, and they inherit him in the minors, however in this case, the GM does not have active-man worries, he simply must be under the contract limit (50).
No team can claim more then 1 player per 12 hours.
