Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I'm rolling with 7 defensemen given the bad shape my forwards are in.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Watching leafs vs bruins game 6 -- Kadri and Gardiner easily our best players in the first - very noticeable and making great plays. Bodes well for us going into this year I think. JmL and Gunner both having lots of trouble.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I still haven't seen the highlights from game 7, much less re-watched the series. It's far too painful.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Meh - it's amazing hockey, some of the refi calls still have me yelling, watching the game is the reason I am a fan
Besides, game 5 & 6 all hungover were nice ways to recover from Vegas. Tomorrow I'll watch game 7, should make me hungry for this year! Dunno if you guys remember, but just like game 7, in this game bruins made it a 1goal game in the final minute after a Grabo failed icing when he shot at empty net. He was giving it 110%m but perhaps not doing what was asked, retrospective analysis of the buy-out? Kules with some epic shot blocks and back checks in the final minute.
Phaneuf was really good all game as well, big goal. This game makes me like Franson as well, surely one of his best, he and Gardiner got the puck out of our zone quickly together.
This was am awesome game.

Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
I rewatched those on nhl network this summer as well. Dions games 4 and 7 were likely the difference in my opinion. He was overplayed and lost his matchup bad. he was downright awful in both 4 and 7. I thought franson was your best dman (surprised me actually. Finally saw what you guys have been saying) and grabo was your best forward on many nights as well. Kadri also had a couple great games and jvr was a force for you guys.
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Franson has always been our best dman.

Yeah I remember making a decent play at him this summer.. Sometimes you dodge the right bullets
Re: NHL Transactions, Injuries & Rumours
Yeah that's what it seems to be, supposedly ottawas over budget and needs to make a move with smith/kassian before they can keep zibby up. I'll be surprised if he misses more than a game or two, if that.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONcap purposes? LOLLee wroteCOLONOttawa assigns Mika Zibanejad to the AHL.

Zibby send down was because Da Costa needs to pass through waivers, and likely wouldn't....would expect a trade sending Da Costa somewhere in the next few days...
