Said it before I'll say it again.
Voluntary payment. If its 100 dollars or something between just the CC and a few others we'll raise a decent amount. The amount donated should be split between Mike and Mashley.

Issues with Mandatory Fees
How will you boot someone who goes AWOL for 3 months?
What if you get 3 warnings and get booted? Now what happens to the team and money?
What if some people simply can't pay, not because of the amount but logistics?
What does a "fee" buy you, we'd have to determine this and what can and can't be done to a paying member?
What if you want to quit the league do we prorate the money and you can bolt?
What about new members? We can't charge them the full fee can we?
What if someone joins in the off season how long does membership last?

Issues with Pool Like system + reward
Instant revolt
Not fair as the league stands currently
Can you imagine the fall out when teams change divisions etc.?

Voluntary payments with side bets makes the most sense, nothing else.

donate as much as u can, if you can. volentary. seeing as how there is 30 people, i bet 5 of us will cover the cost of cbs ... then, with honesty in mind, save the remainder for next season.

also, even tho mash doesnt pay for the server host, pass him 25 bucks for his resources and help.

A good point...I dont want anything for the host its fine honestly I host LOTS of website and make money off of them this one is fine! but i like the idea of just getting donations anything from anyone and using it for the cbs and if there is some left we keep it for next years costs! That I agree with. Or if you want some upgrades IE. better fourms, cooler add-ons etc that could also be used for that...

I dont like it because as someone said some guys are built not to win and also even on top of that I wouldn't pay for it when I was handed a random team, I would have wanted to be the cause of how my original roster was dished out.

well covering the cost of CBS is something we as a league need to step up and do.


$10 x 30 GM = 300


We could cover ~3 years worth of CBS with that money, 1 year & donate to a charity, have a separate side pool where we all pick 10 players, purely points and split it up there... w/e... $5 x 30 GMs = $150 which we think should cover CBS and then some small left over for charity? Mashley has suggested Right To Play, personally I really like that idea.

But I don't like this, teams haven't built their teams according to this. Now we have a bunch of teams with no hopes of making the playoffs with money now on the line. I know its not a huge amount, but it bring in so many issues I'd rather not deal with.
Say we have a shit GM and replace him but his team makes the playoffs does he come clamoring back for his money, but what if new guy made the moves to get his team there though? I don't know how to settle these issues.

I say Side bets for performance and no mandatory payments. Reason is simple, not everyone can pay, it shouldn't be mandatory and how do we boot someone who ends up being shit who has paid?
Make it fully voluntary, the lifers and the main guys I'm sure will pony up, but with that money you get no guarantees.

Side bets though I'd be down to make.

I don't get what the issue is...Enough of the poverty bullshit, this is the price of 1 beer in the bar, 2 Tim Horton's coffee's, 1/3 of a pack of cigs, 2 bags of chips etc. I know all about the struggling student thing, I have a family and both my wife and I are going to school, so I understand, but its $3.50, thats less than 1 cent a day. Just set up a account and ask for people to pay it..It's a small price to come here every day and enjoy this league. Should be end of story...I could see if it even ran over 5 whole bucks, but enough. I will throw up to 20 bucks, and if someone truly can't afford the 3.50, please come to me, and I will take it out of my 20. This will be done very discreetly, just ask.

i threw in 25 bucks last season and will gladly do the same this year .. so right there is 45 dollars, that will cover 45% of the league in theory.
