Gardiner played the best game he's ever seen him play, according to Eakins - over 31 minutes as well. Pretty sure he'd make the leafs better...

I believe it's a mistake to have him as the player who was deemed most expendable. But I guess he doesn't hold the big-big guys accountable, nor is he as effective at driving the net. I sure like him a lot more than Orr, Fraser or McLaren.

meh i prefer McLaren and Orr more than Brown ... McLaren is a bit better with the puck and provides [slightly more] offence than brown.. Orr is a much better fighter than brown

he provides speed, and has good heart, but he was definitely the most expendable one IMO

Brown fights in a different class than Orr - no regular player goes near the guy.

Mike Brown is definitely a better hockey player than both Frazer McClaren and Colton Orr.

I don't think so tbh.

Orr is probably the best fighter in the league, and I think McLaren provides more offense.

Brown is faster than both and is more of a spark plug.

He is probably worth the most anyways, which is why he was moved.

It's all personal opinion though, as these guys are all dime a dozen in terms of hockey skill.

Phion man that's a rather demeaning way to talk about some very skilled athletes. I truly believe that they are a part of why the leafs are doing well - toughness is a hockey skill, ditto on being a teammate. We're finally tough, and benefitting from it.

I couldn't disagree more, I would take all three of those guys over Brown, and rather easily.

Mike Brown skates better, that is about it. McAllen and Orr are better in the corners, possess more two way ability, and have some offensive ability. Most important of all however, McLaren and Orr can be trusted not take undisciplined penalties.
