You aren't ranking overall value. If you are, than these rankings should be significantly different and the Top 2 would be without a doubt TOR and LAK.
No I am ranking overall ability to compete and win. CHI's ability to win is greater than NSH. Simple.
How does Chicago's team compete? They don't. How do they win? They don't (except vs. DET, sorry Scott).

Faksa, Frosberg and Reinhart are going to be lighting up the NHL next year. I forgot about that, my bad.
I forgot that Anton is not allowed to trade all year. My bad.

I don't think I'm 1st in the west, to get there I need to get over my love for prospects!

The islanders have plenty of young d they can slip into the lineup before they bring another prospect up too early.

as for shivs rankings, who knows what he is thinking.

usually when he makes these its how you rank RIGHT NOW, not what you could potentially do in the future. You also usually get ranked VERY low if you are not a playoff team. Now we have him ranking teams that have great future potential that likely won't make the playoffs this year over teams that will make the playoffs.

Forsberg already announced he would be playing in swed this year so you can count him out.

Other than the whole anton ahead of shep thing the list is pretty good. So many valriables in the west though, I could see a lot more movement happening there that with the east. although I of course do not entirely agree with those rankings at the moment.

BTW in Pamplona waiting on a buddies train to get in before the night out, 4 litres of good beer for 5 Euro! now thats a beautiful thing.

Got an Irish chick the first night then an aussie girl for the three days in Valencia. So only two girls is definitely a slow start but travelling without a wingman and laid 4 out of 7 nights is far from terrible.

I still don't understand how you can factor that in. It makes no sense. Kareem's trades have been great since he's come back, why not rank him #1?

I ask myself the same question whenever I read a predictive ranking.
