New Tampa Bay GM

Hi guys!

Spoke with Scott who informed me that after a few months on the reserve list, I've been accepted as the GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Here's a little info about me:

My name is Lee, I'm a 26 year old male who has been a fan of the Leafs for as long as I can remember. Schenn is probably my favourite player (hint hint?) and I am a Kessel trade homer. Finger has talent but overpaid, and I'd trade Finger and Grabovski for Brian Campbell in a heart beat. Also disappointed that we didn't get in on Kovalchuk or Gagne but there are 28 other teams in the NHL. I currently live in Calgary, Alberta and work for a company called Elluminate.

I have a beautiful fiance, a slightly not sane dog, 2 weird cats, a scorpion ( use to have 2, RIP Nox), a chameleon, some gross lizard that the woman likes and an insane hamster.

I'm a punk/metal head. Fav bands are Protest the Hero (hence the name?), SlipKnot (RIP Paul), In Flames and Fear Before the March of Flames.

This is going on my second year in a keeper league, we restarted once and looking to be a second time because people are stupid. This keeper really interested me because it looks very well run and rules are enforced. I fully dedicate myself to these kinds of things and I have a lot of work ahead of me. Looking forward to wheelin' and dealin' with you folks.

Firstly, welcome to the league! You are sure to have a ton of fun, I know I have since I joined a few months ago. Another leaf fan is always welcome too!!

Secondly ... because you mentioned it...I just have to as well lol....that kessel trade blows . And grabo and finger for cambell? Really? Grabo is gonna put up 65 ish points this upcoming season...just watch !!!! There is SOOOOOOOO much unnecessary hate on that cat!!!

Kessel had 30 goals in 70 games missing training camp and the first month of the season and played with a bunch of scrubs for most of the season. Seguin played really well against kids who were mostly younger than him, Knight fed off of Kadri and there's no telling what next years pick will be.

In my other keeper, we offer our own contracts once the real one expires. Some guy thinks that adding less term and a lot less money but a NTC for less than half of the contract should make Zherdev an auto signing for him.
